We didn’t get much last night but it’s been three weekends in a row with winter weather in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. For several years we haven’t had any snow to measure. The mountains have been getting a lot of snow. Good for the ski industry!
Cheerwine Pound Cake Recipe
Cheerwine, born/created in Salisbury, North Carolina in 1917. It is a yummy cherry soda!
I made this Southern Cheerwine Bundt Cake and it is delicious!
Here is a great cake recipe using the soda that I found in Our State magazine. Enjoy!
Cheerwine pound cake might sound like a novelty, but it is a seriously good and proper pound cake, worthy of a place on a cake stand.

North Carolina Scenes Fleece Blanket
Perfect for the winter season! This is my photo of the Old Well at UNC Chapel Hill and would make a great gift for the Carolina fan.
The luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and features my photo on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. The blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece.
Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side which provides for a sharper image.
