Isn’t the mountain laurel pretty?? This shrub blooms in the North Carolina mountains mid spring around late May or early June. It blooms in light pink clusters. This particular shrub is grown at our mountain home in western NC.

Garden Gate

This garden gate with the white picket fence was in New Bern, North Carolina. I just loved how it opened up into this pretty little garden in someone’s home. The flowers you see are around the sidewalk.
