Solar Eclipse Visible in Western NC on August 21

How and where are you spending your Solar Eclipse day, two weeks from today? I pray that it’s good weather! We are waiting to see and will take a day trip either northwest to the mountains or southeast to the beach area.

Here is some more North Carolina solar eclipse info from Our State magazine. They feature places in the North Carolina mountains.

This month, a rare total solar eclipse will darken the sky in western North Carolina, while illuminating once-in-a-lifetime memories.

Solar Eclipse in North Carolina in 2017

Check out this map of the solar eclipse path. I didn’t realize that for people to see the full eclipse, you need to be in this path shown on the map.  We’ll be heading to the mountains!
