This is Little Phoenix Creek in Ashe County off Old Highway 16. Shot taken last week and the area is still expecting more snow. It’s definitely more wintery in the mountains this year!

Here’s a panorama of Howard’s Knob in Boone, North Carolina. It was closed at the top and this was as far as we could go up but I was kinda glad… because the drive is steep! I definitely want to come back in the summer when it’s open and you can view the town of Boone from the top.

Pretty winter snow in the mountains. This is Howard’s Knob in Boone.

This type of scene is all over the country. Especially in the NC mountains, around the ski slopes.
I’m glad for the ski industry!

We had four inches of snow last night. This was our Carolina blue sky morning wintery scene!
